The Acura MDX draws both power and efficiency from a 3.5-liter, 290-horsepower V-6 engine that features Direct Gas Injection, Variable Cylinder Management™ (VCM®) and the Acura i-VTEC® system.

The 9-speed automatic transmission with Sequential SportShift paddle shifters is extraordinarily smooth. In automatic mode, the Acura MDX driver can choose between economical or sport shifting. Paddle shifters put full manual control right at your fingertips.

The net result? The Acura MDX engine produces 290 horsepower at 6200 rpm (SAE net), and 267 lb.-ft. of torque (SAE net) at 4700 rpm (SAE net) and has an EPA Ratings† of 19 / 27 / 22 mpg (city/highway/combined) for the front-wheel drive model and 18 / 26 / 21 for the SH-AWD model. Models with the Idle Stop feature have even higher ratings.

The Acura MDX with Front Wheel Drive uses a variety of traction control technologies to give the driver an excellent, controlled driving experience.
